This is a real safe-ride card

The fare home is covered by the Charlie Company Cooperative, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 93-3744013). It's legit — please get this soldier home safe.

For the driver

You'll be paid — here's how

This card guarantees a one-way ride to the cardholder's residence. You won't be left holding the fare.

  1. Get them home safe. The whole point — a soldier who doesn't drive tonight.
  2. Call staff duty at the number below to confirm the ride and arrange the fare.
  3. The fund covers it — paid on the spot by the unit's staff duty desk out of the Cooperative's ride fund.

For the soldier

Using your card

  1. Don't drive. Not tonight — no exceptions, no judgment.
  2. Call a cab. A traditional taxi, not a rideshare app.
  3. Show this card or have the driver call staff duty. The fare's covered, all the way to your door.

Cabs only for now — Uber/Lyft need payment through the app before they'll dispatch, so cash-on-arrival doesn't work with them the way it does a cab. A rideshare option is already in the works.

Arrive Alive is a safe-ride fund that keeps soldiers off the road after drinking — one covered ride home is one DUI, and one tragedy, that never happens. Every dollar funds another ride.
